Criminal Court moves to Labour and Execution Courts building
New headquarters equipped with advanced technology and client facilities
DUBAI – Dubai Courts has confirmed the relocation of the Criminal Court from its main building to the Labour and Execution Courts building, a move aimed at strengthening judicial integration and service efficiency.
The transfer forms part of a wider strategy to modernise judicial infrastructure and align with international benchmarks.
The new premises will begin operations on 1 October, with all Criminal Court circuits resuming their duties without disruption.
Authorities have finalised logistical and technical preparations to guarantee uninterrupted services for clients and legal practitioners.
How will it improve services?
Judge Khaled Yahya Al Hosani, President of the Courts of First Instance, highlighted that the move was guided by an in-depth study and precise planning to ensure continuity of operations. He assured that scheduled hearings and client appointments would remain unaffected. He further explained that the new headquarters offers advanced facilities to raise performance standards and improve the customer experience.
Judge Dr Abdullah Saif Al Shamsi, Head of the Criminal Court, described the relocation as a qualitative leap for the court’s development. He underlined that the upgraded environment is designed to enhance efficiency in delivering justice, reflecting Dubai Courts’ dedication to adopting global best practices in pursuit of judicial excellence.
The new building has been equipped with state-of-the-art technology to streamline case reviews and tracking. It also provides modern waiting areas and strengthened technological infrastructure to support the smooth flow of judicial and administrative work, ensuring clients benefit from enhanced comfort and service reliability.
